Shaldon Zoo
Shaldon specialises in small primates and mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles and offers a brilliant family day out. Take advantage of their free same day re-entry when you purchase your tickets. Take a wander around the zoo in the morning then have some lunch in the nearby pubs or cafes, take a stroll on the beautiful Shaldon and Teignmouth beaches and then re-enter Shaldon zoo for the afternoon feeds and talks for no extra cost – perfect!
Superworm trail at Haldon Forest Park | Forestry England
If your family loved watching Superworm on BBC this Christmas or enjoyed the picture books, then you’ll all enjoy the Superworm activity trail!A 1.5 mile trail highlighting the small but mighty creatures in the book, with activities, questions and facts to complete along the way – this is sure to entertain the kids for hours!The trail is free but there is an optional £3.50 activity pack available to purchase from the Forest Info Pod by the car park.
