A disappointing experience on this occasion. My first name was incorrectly spelt which resulted in my bank card payment being initially declined. The delivery was therefore delayed and arrived late for a birthday. Please ensure that the spelling is corrected. My first name is VALERIE – not VALARIE. Thank you.
Hi Valerie,
We are really saddened to see your poor review of us especially when we spent so much time trying to help you place your order.
You rang us on Friday afternoon to explain that you were trying to place an order but couldn’t do it so we offered to take the order over the phone for you. We tried several times to take a payment but each time the payment was not accepted due to an issue with the card number. We explained this to you over the phone and you said that you had been having issues with this card recently. We suggested that you speak to your bank to make sure everything was okay and that we would call you back on Monday morning to try again. This would mean that we could still dispatch your order on time for delivery on Tuesday which was your chosen delivery date. However, we tried own several occasions throughout the day on Monday to contact you but could not get through. You called back at around 4pm to try and put the order through and on this occasion the payment was accepted but all of our parcels had already been collected as the cut of time for next day delivery is 2pm. We explained this to you and said that delivery would now be on Wednesday which you said was fine.
Please accept my apologies for the incorrect spelling of your name, this was a genuine mistake when taking your details over the phone. However, this was not the reason for the payment being declined several times as when the payment was accepted on Monday, your name was still spelt incorrectly. You can see the incorrect spelling on your order confirmation which was sent after the payment was accepted on Monday. As mentioned to you on the phone, the payments were declined due to an issue with the card number.
We are really sad to see that despite us trying to help on several occasions on Friday and trying to contact you repeatedly on Monday, you have been left feeling disappointed by the experience. Whilst we understand that the issues you were facing with the bank were frustrating, we hope you can appreciate that this had nothing to do with us and we did everything we could to try and help you.
